August 2009 General Meeting
Meeting Agenda:
Resolutions
Please read this blog post about what resolutions will be considered in August.
Chairs Report
I will make the formal announcement of an opening on the Executive Board. Please read this blog post for more information. If you are interested in the Male Alternate to the King County Democratic Central Committee, or if you think a particular person might do a great job, please let Chad know!
Also, I'm very proud to announce that the Maps and History project that I've been working on for the past 3 years reached a major milestone in the first week of August. We now have precinct level maps online for all 39 counties, 49 legislative districts, and 6732 precincts. And we're getting inquiries from Texas and Iowa to expand the maps side of the project. We also have precinct level election results for every precinct in the state, and we're beginning to get inquires and information beyond Washington state for that side of the project as well.
Good of the Order
If you would like to speak during Good of the Order, please sign in at the Membership table. Here are a few things that I know will come up:
Sustainable Works Seattle
Peter and I met with Richard and Jesse from Sustainable Works Seattle on Tuesday, and they will be making a quick presentation to the district about the renewable energy refit project that they are working on. You can read this blog post for more information, and here is a copy of the presentatation that they will give.
