The main agenda items for this meeting will be to elect Delegates to the 2010 State Convention, and update our Platform for the 2010 Election Cycle.
The Call to Caucus includes the Agenda, Proposed Rules and the Draft Platform for the LD caucus. This will be sent out to all of our current members, and sent out to everyone we have an email address for. Please help us by printing out copies for yourself and the friends and neighbors that you will be bringing to the Caucus on March 14th.
March General Meeting
We had hoped that King County Executive Dow Constantine would be able to give us an update on his first 100 days, but he is not able to make it. Thankfully, our representatives in Olympia will be just finished with the 2010 Legislative Session, and they will be giving us a Legislative Review. Audience participation encouraged, but please also send us your questions in advance.
Special Training: How to organize your precinct
Want to organize your neighborhood? Learn the basics of precinct organizing at the Greenwood Branch Library, on March 27th. This training is designed for new members looking for a way to get involved, existing precinct committee officers (PCOs), and anyone else interested in attending. The training starts at Noon, and will focus on neighborhood precinct organizing. It will also give an overview of what a precinct is, why it should be organized, how it compares to precinct organizing for campaigns, and ways to get started.
Please come prepared with note taking materials and ideas. The training will end at approximately 3:30 PM. For more details, please contact Angie Weiss, angieweiss05@gmail.com.
