We will conduct a candidate forum and Nomination Convention at our May Meeting.
The Washington State Democratic Central Committee has established rules for identifying official candidates of the party for Partisan office in the state of Washington. Please read those rules here.
Two resolutions were submitted, and one was published in the printed May Demogram. The other was an insert into the Demogram, thanks to the quick work of Peter Shapiro, Dean Fournier and Sarajane Siegfreidt. We had already considered the resolution for TransAlta at our March meeting and it slipped by the editors. The RESOLVED statement for the SR520 bridge resolution was published in the printed, the Resolved statement for both is available in the online issue, and the text of both is available here on our website:

· Contested S Ct race Sanders v Wiggins
· Open Superior Court Race Candidates
· Candidates will be asked questions written by committee
Committee proposes rule for all nominations to be made by written ballot and that acclamation will not be in order. This would be ruling by the Chair.
Approx 9:00pm Chair closes convention with announcement of final tally result adoption (any challenge would have to be made prior to closure)
Continue 46th District Judicial Forum for any contested race not heard. Adjourn at 9:30.
Each candidate should have access to set up at 6 PM, NO signs at front of room, NO signs outside prior to 7:00 pm. This will be strictly enforced due to problems last year at the Endorsement meetings. Audience will be requested to refrain from any expressions or outbursts other than applause for both candidates to show respect for ALL candidates.
