We want to invite you to rejoin your local Democratic Party to help us over the next two years.
The 2010 elections prove that protecting our democracy did not end in 2008 with the election of President Obama and a Democratic Senate.
Instead, this election shows that a government that serves all Americans is still precarious.
Republican leaders say they are determined to make Obama a one-term president. And they are just as determined to reverse the progressive legislation enacted under Obama.
Grassroots Republicans tell pollsters they want their leaders to move even more to the right! They have taken giant steps toward reaching those goals. BUT NOT HERE.
We are proud that the Democratic vote in our 46th Distict - almost two-to-one over the Republicans - is one of the biggest reasons we have been able to keep Washington State safe - so far.
Our statewide elected officials count on the 46th for their winning margins. Can we count on you?
If the Republicans had equaled the Democratic vote in our District, Patty Murray would have lost. Our District's work to lift our vote here made Patty's statewide victory possible. - And we will have a more progressive State Supreme Court because of 46th District votes for change there.
We need to keep building our Democratic vote in the 46th District. That's why we need you to renew your membership now.
Whether you were a member in 2010 or 2009, or even if you have never been a member before, can we count on you for 2011?
In 2011 and 2012 our challenges will be just as hard or harder to meet.
2011 brings King County Council and Seattle City Council elections. In 2012 we will be re-electing President Barack Obama, voting for Governor and other statewide officials. In 2012 we must do our part again to help give them the votes they need to offset GOP votes in other parts of the state.
That's why we need you to rejoin the 46th District Democrats for 2011, and for you to do it now.
