Legislative Action & Research (LARC) Committee

The purpose of the LARC committee includes:

1. developing a political profile of the 46th District, for the purpose of targeting political campaigns;
2. facilitating 46th LD member's access to relevant aspects of the voting records, qualifications and performance of persons likely to be seeking electoral support in the District; and
3. assisting the organization with action plans to advance key issues consistent with it platform, in coordination with the KCDCC and WSDCC and other interested organizations.

Legislative Action includes empowering you as citizens to contact our elected representatives on the issues of the day. We have created several website tools for you to do just that!

Advocacy takes work, but with a plan and a little practice, it can become part of our lives, and it's a very important part! Read this article from the October Demogram for ideas on how to get involved. Voting is the first step, but we need to make this a journey.

We are also collecting a list of advocacy groups that track our local councils & boards, the Washington State Legislature and the US Congress. We are working to format that list, and we have the original available in PDF format. Please send us any additional resources that you think we should include on this list.
