PHPList

The "Mailman" software that came with our website hosting was our first attempt at being able to handle a large mailing list. It worked, but the management of the system got to be increasingly difficult. So last year we installed "PHPList", and we tried to use it effectively for a few months.

The disadvantage of the PHPList system is that the system itself is bare bones, requiring the additions of other software and some pretty detailed programming skills. Chad does his best, but it got to be too much. So, we started looking for other options. The Executive Board chose Constant Contact, a web service that is used by numerous candidates and campaigns. Several members of our eboard have experience with this system.

Thanks to the approval of our 2009-2010 Budget at the March meeting, we have opened a Constant Contact account.
