Charity Spotlight
Beginning with the disaster in Haiti, the 46th started using the top right corner of our home page as a community spotlight, directing our members and visitors to groups that deserve special recognition for something they are doing in support of our shared values and to help the local or global community.
In late spring, 2011, the focus was on Solid Ground, Building Community to end poverty.
Congratulations to Solid Ground for their grand opening of another 51 units of low-income family housing at Magnuson Park!

Our early spring, 2011 spotlight was on the North Helpline, which provides the community with basic human emergency services to promote dignity, self respect and hope. You can watch a video about what they do on Youtube!

We wanted to recognize the Maple Leaf Lutheran Church during the 2010 Holiday Season for their efforts in aiding the homeless in our community by hosting Tent City 3!

We focused the spotlight on Pakistan in the fall of 2010, to help the people of that country survive and recover from the floods.

In the Summer of 2010, we shined the spotlight on Real Change, a local organization helping the homeless by spreading the word through an entrepreneurial and innovating newspaper that you can buy on the local streetcorner in downtown Seattle.
